Standard H1Z2Z2-K is normally an unshielded solar cable. PV string circuits are designed around insulated conductors and suitable routing/connector systems rather than a metallic screen, unless a particular project specifies another cable construction. GERITEL WIRE can review the buyer's voltage, route length, current and installation environment before recommending a suitable cable size.
Does it have armor?
Standard H1Z2Z2-K is not normally an armoured solar cable. Where impact, rodent or burial risks require additional mechanical protection, the installation method or a purpose-designed protected cable should be selected rather than assuming the standard sheath acts as armor.
