Armored PLTC/ITC Cable is a fieldbus cable used in industrial process automation communication networks, supporting Fieldbus or PROFIBUS PA networks for connecting sensors to control systems. It is suitable for replacing traditional analog 4-20 mA signal transmission in industrial automation systems, with a single link supporting up to approximately 32 sensor/actuator nodes. It allows for long transmission distances (maximum theoretical distance of approximately 1900 m).

PLTC/ITC cables are widely used in industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, power generation, pharmaceuticals, water treatment, and industrial manufacturing. Typical applications include connecting field instruments such as pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, flow meters, and valve positioners to PLC or DCS control systems. Their armored construction makes them ideal for tray, conduit, exposed, and direct burial installations, especially in harsh or high-risk industrial environments.

Certification
Armored fieldbus/PROFIBUS PA 300V cables conforming to UL PLTC/ITC standards are manufactured in accordance with multiple international safety and performance standards. The cables are UL certified and available in PLTC (Power Limiting Tray Cable) and ITC (Instrument Tray Cable) models, suitable for industrial control and instrumentation cabling within cable trays. These cables meet UL 1685/FT4 vertical tray flame retardancy testing requirements, ensuring enhanced fire safety. Furthermore, they comply with relevant fieldbus physical layer specifications and are fully compatible with PROFIBUS PA systems. Optional configurations are also available for applications requiring UV resistance, direct burial, or intrinsically safe installation.
