XHHW 14AWG wire only fits dry and mild damp indoor spaces. XHHW-2 adopts upgraded XLPE insulation, rated for long-term use in fully wet locations like underground pipes, basements and outdoor buried lines. Both follow UL44 standard with 600V voltage grade.

Is the conductor of this 14AWG UL44 wire pure copper? Any mixed alloy inside?

It uses solid bare high-purity annealed copper conductor, no recycled copper or copper-clad aluminum added. The pure copper core keeps low resistance, cuts power loss and guarantees stable current transmission for long-term construction use.

Does this 14AWG XHHW/XHHW-2 wire carry formal UL44 certification for North American projects?
