What's the difference between XHHW and XHHW-2 wire?

XHHW works for dry and damp areas only; XHHW-2 is rated 75°C for continuous wet locations like underground conduit, basements and outdoor buried wiring. Both follow UL44 standard.

Does this 12AWG copper wire meet UL44 certification?

Yes. Our 12AWG XHHW/XHHW-2 cable is fully UL44 listed, compliant with North American construction electrical codes for commercial & industrial projects.

Can this 75°C XHHW copper wire be used underground?

XHHW-2 version supports underground direct burial and wet conduit installation. Its XLPE insulation resists water, moisture and chemical corrosion long-term.

Is the conductor pure copper?

We adopt solid 100% bare copper conductor, low resistance, stable conductivity, no mixed recycled copper to avoid high power loss.
