16mm² Heavy-Duty Flexible Welding Cable for DC Distribution
The 16mm² CU Class 5/PVC cable is a flexible heavy-duty conductor for battery systems, inverter links, charging equipment, industrial vehicles and DC power distribution. Class 5 copper stranding allows repeated bending and helps the cable fit around cabinets, trays and terminals without excessive stiffness. This 16mm² welding cable is offered in red, black and customized colors with optional printing and project lengths. As a flexible welding power cable, it suits medium-current connections requiring dependable copper performance and efficient termination. This cable is especially suitable for domestic wiring.

How do I choose the correct welding cable size?
Start with maximum welding current, duty cycle, combined lead length, voltage drop, ambient temperature and terminal rating. GERITEL WIRE uses these inputs to recommend a welding cable size and can provide samples and conductor-resistance data before mass production.
Do I count one cable length or both welding leads?
Use the combined length of the electrode lead and work-return lead when following welding-machine cable tables. GERITEL WIRE asks for the total welding cable length because a 30 m lead to the workpiece normally means a 60 m electrical circuit.
How does duty cycle affect welding cable size?
A higher duty cycle keeps current flowing longer and increases cable heating. GERITEL WIRE selects welding cable by duty cycle using the machine manual and total circuit length rather than applying a single amp rating to every welding process.
How much voltage drop is acceptable in welding cable?
The acceptable value depends on the welding machine and process because excessive drop can reduce arc performance. GERITEL WIRE calculates welding cable voltage drop from conductor resistance, current and circuit length, then recommends a practical size for technical approval.
