Heavy Fixed-Wiring Conductor for Main Electrical Panels
50mm2 single core PVC cable is manufactured with nineteen 1.78 mm plain annealed copper wires, creating a Class 2 conductor for protected main-panel links, switchboard assemblies, industrial cabinets and distribution equipment. The plain annealed copper building wire complies with conductor requirements to AS/NZS 1125, while the product is manufactured to AS/NZS 5000.1. This V90 panel connection cable is rated 600/1000V, has PVC insulation only, no outer sheath and a 75°C maximum continuous operating temperature. Engineers should check current capacity, short-circuit duty, grouping, ambient conditions and compatible terminals.

Can the cable be used in an ambient temperature above 40°C?
A high ambient temperature cable selection requires more than the V90 name. The installation may need derating, a larger conductor or a different insulation system. GERITEL WIRE can review the stated ambient range and quote a suitable product, but this V-90 specification should be designed around the confirmed 75°C continuous conductor limit.
How does grouping several single core cables affect selection?
Grouped single core cables can retain more heat than separated conductors, reducing allowable current and potentially requiring a larger size.
