10 AWG TC-ER – Multi-Conductor Shielded Control Cable with XLPE Insulation for EMI-Sensitive Applications
In industrial environments, electrical noise from motors, VFDs, and welding equipment can corrupt sensitive control signals, leading to production errors. This 10 AWG overall shielded control cable protects against electromagnetic interference, ensuring clean signal transmission in noisy industrial environments. Featuring XLPE insulation, stranded bare copper conductors, and an aluminum/polyester overall shield with a PVC jacket, this cable delivers reliable control and instrumentation performance. UL1277 and UL44 certified with a 600V rating, it is Type TC-ER rated for exposed run tray installations without conduit. The overall shield provides effective EMI protection, while the XLPE insulation offers excellent resistance to heat, moisture, and chemicals. The 10 AWG size provides ample ampacity for both control circuits and low-power equipment connections in factory automation and sensor systems. The PVC jacket provides rugged protection against mechanical stress and environmental exposure.

Product Description

 

The XLPE/PVC, 600V Control, Type TC-ER Direct Burial Cables consist of fully annealed bare copper Class B stranded conductors, covered with oil and gas resistant Cross-linked Polyethylene (XLPE), unshielded or shielded and black PVC jacket. These cables are used in industrial power or station control circuits.

Applications

 
  • In conduit, duct, free air, raceways and direct burial, primary installations include cable trays, and outdoor locations.
  • In wet or dry locations
  • Approved for Class I, Div. 2 industrial hazardous locations per NEC
  • Permitted for Exposed Run (ER) used in accordance with NEC for 3 or more conductors; two conductors without a ground wire are Type TC only
