4 Core + Earth Submains Cable for Commercial Distribution

The 4x25+1x6E 4C+E cable is designed for commercial and industrial fixed distribution where L1, L2, L3, neutral and protective earth are required within one circular sheath. Its flexible Class 5 copper conductors make it suitable as a 4C+E cable for submains wiring between main switchboards and downstream panels. Where the connected loads include both three-phase equipment and single-phase auxiliaries, it can function as a 3 phase feeder cable with neutral and earth after engineering selection. The 110°C X-HF-110/HFS-110-TP material system also supports a 4C+E cable for distribution boards with LSZH and low-fire-hazard characteristics. Flexible single core X-HF-110 insulated and HFS-110-TP sheathed cable for mains, submains and subcircuits unenclosed, enclosed in conduit or in underground ducts for building and industrial plants where not subject to mechanical damage. Suitable where space is at a premium and/or where conditions of overload may occur.

Is this the same as ordinary orange circular PVC cable?

No. Orange circular is a broad Australian market category and may include PVC, XLPE and halogen-free products with different conductor classes and temperature ratings. This X-HF-110 4C+E cable uses a 110°C elastomeric insulation system with an HFS-110-TP sheath. GERITEL WIRE recommends comparing the full construction rather than matching products by orange colour alone.

Can I order the cable by the metre instead of a full drum?

Project supply can be discussed on a cut-length basis depending on conductor size, quantity and production planning. GERITEL WIRE can prepare 4C+E cable cut to length options for panel builders and contractors, with each length clearly identified to reduce waste and simplify installation.

What insulation is used on the conductors?

The insulated cores use X-HF-110 material in the specified 110°C construction. An X-HF-110 flexible multicore cable combines the required electrical insulation with higher continuous conductor-temperature capability and low-fire-hazard material properties. What is HFS-110-TP?

HFS-110-TP is the outer sheath material used on this low-fire-hazard flexible multicore construction. An HFS-110-TP sheathed multicore cable provides the external sheath around the insulated cores and protective earth.
