AL EPR/CTS/PVC MV-105 is a high-grade 35kV medium voltage shielded power cable featuring compact aluminum conductor, 133% insulation level and ultra-heavy 420-mil copper tape shielding. Designed for cost-effective high-voltage power transmission, it adopts 105°C heat-resistant EPR insulation, full CTS shielding structure and durable UV-stabilized PVC outer jacket. The 133% insulation level provides superior overload tolerance for prolonged single-phase ground faults, while the 420-mil thick copper tape shield precisely stabilizes electric field distribution, eliminates partial discharge and enhances system safety under high voltage. With excellent thermal stability, water-tree resistance and anti-aging performance, this aluminum MV cable features lighter weight and lower installation cost compared with copper cables. It is suitable for direct burial, conduit and cable tray installation, widely used in utility substations, industrial power feeders, municipal grid expansion and large commercial high-voltage distribution projects.

Product Description

 

The Medium Voltage, EPR/Cu Tape Shield/PVC, Type MV-105 Cable consist of Aluminum Class B stranded conductors, covered with ethylene propylene rubber (EPR), copper tape shield, and black PVC jacket. These cables are used in industrial power circuits.

  • In conduit, duct, free air, and raceways, primary installations include cable trays, and outdoor locations
  • In direct burial if installed in a system with a ground conductor that is in close proximity, and conforms with NEC 250.4 (A)(5)
  • In wet or dry locations
  • Approved for Class I, Div. 2 industrial hazardous locations per NEC
  • Designed to operate continuously at a conductor temperature not exceeding
