Reasons for Applying for TUV Certification of Solar Cables
In order to ensure the quality and safety of photovoltaic cables, our photovoltaic cables have passed TUV certification. This means that our photovoltaic cables have been rigorously tested and meet international standards. TUV certification meets the standards of many countries. After obtaining certification, photovoltaic modules can be sold in the global market, including major markets such as Europe, North America, and Asia, reducing market access barriers. What processes are required to obtain TUV certification, and why is TUV certification authoritative?
The Process of TUV Certification
First, it is necessary to provide product technical documents, including design drawings, specifications, material lists, production process documents, etc. TUV reviews the submitted documents and conducts a preliminary assessment to determine whether the product meets the certification requirements.

After the document review is passed, the manufacturer prepares the test samples and sends them to the laboratory designated by TUV for testing. The tests include DC resistance, immersion voltage test, long-term DC voltage resistance, insulation resistance, sheath surface resistance, high temperature pressure test, damp heat test, acid and alkali solution resistance test, compatibility test, low temperature impact test, low temperature bending test, ozone resistance test, weather resistance/UV test, dynamic penetration test, dent resistance, sheath heat shrinkage test, vertical burning test, halogen content test, insulation and sheath material mechanical properties, thermal extension test, thermal life, etc.
TUV auditors go to the manufacturing plant for on-site review to evaluate the production process and quality management system. The review includes raw material control, production process control, finished product inspection, equipment maintenance, process document management, etc.

Finally, TUV combines the test results and factory review results to evaluate whether the product meets the certification requirements. If the product passes all tests and reviews, TUV will issue a certification certificate, which will list the product model, certification standard, certificate validity period and other information.
TUV will regularly conduct annual audits on certified products and manufacturing plants, including regular sampling tests and on-site factory inspections to ensure that products continue to meet certification requirements.
