The Main Differences Between SJTW Cable And SOOW Cable

Leave a message

The main differences between SJTW cable and SOOW cable lie in their production materials, rated voltage, cable structure, and application areas. ‌

The insulation and sheath materials of SJTW cable are both polyvinyl chloride (PVC) materials, while the insulation and sheath materials of SOOW cable are rubber materials

The rated voltage of SJTW cable is 300 volts, while the rated voltage of SOOW cable is 600 volts. This means that SOOW cables have stronger voltage tolerance and are suitable for higher voltage environments.

SJTW cable and SOOW cable both have good wear resistance, ozone resistance, sunlight resistance, chemical resistance, and oil resistance. Their insulation and sheath are both oil resistant, which is indicated by "W" in the cable identification. Both types of cables have been approved for immersion in water and have excellent waterproof performance.

SJTW cable are typically used in lower voltage environments and are suitable for certain industrial and commercial applications. SOOW cable, as a portable cable, is widely used in mobile tools and equipment, but also commonly used in commercial and residential fields. Due to its high permeability and durability, SOOW cable can also be used in more important industrial applications such as construction equipment, cranes, processing machinery, and electric motors.
