What Are Heat Resistant Cable?

Leave a message

Heat resistant cables usually refer to cables that can work normally in high temperature environments. The design of such cables is mainly to meet the requirements of maintaining their electrical and mechanical properties in high temperature environments, ensuring that the transmission of signals or electrical energy is not affected. The working temperature range of heat-resistant cables is usually between 90 ℃ and 155 ℃, which is much lower than that of high-temperature cables, whose working temperature can reach 180 ℃ or above

Heat resistant cable also known as high-temperature wire or high temperature cable, is a type of wire with high temperature resistance. In general, the name of heat-resistant wires includes words with high temperature resistance, flame retardancy, and other characteristics, such as heat-resistant wires, heat-resistant cables, etc. The commonly used material models include PTFE cables and silicone cable

Characteristics and uses of heat resistant wire

1. Aerospace field: High temperature electrical systems suitable for engines, generators, engine control, radar, navigation and other fields.

2. Automotive industry: Suitable for electrical systems in high-temperature environments such as engines, transmissions, and electronic control units.

3. Power industry: applicable to electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, cables, switches, etc.

4. Petroleum and chemical industry: suitable for electrical equipment in high-temperature, high-pressure, and corrosive environments such as refining, fertilizers, and synthetic resins.

5. Construction industry: Suitable for power lines in environments such as buildings, underground mines, tunnels, etc.

Scope of application of heat-resistant wires

Heat resistant cable are suitable for environments with working temperatures ranging from 150 ℃ to 1000 ℃, and can be further classified into different types according to different usage scenarios. For example, fire-resistant cables usually use steel wire armor, which can withstand extreme environments such as high temperature, high heat, radiation, viscous liquids, etc; Temperature resistant wires typically use copper conductors and polytetrafluoroethylene insulation, which can withstand harsh environments such as high temperatures, corrosion, and oxidation.

In short, heat-resistant wires are widely used in various special environments such as high temperature, high voltage, corrosion, and viscous liquids. They not only ensure normal operation in production, but also greatly improve production efficiency and safety.
