Where Is Mc Cable Not Allowed?

Leave a message

The scenarios that are not suitable for using MC cable include but are not limited to:

In situations where enhanced protection is not required: If the cable does not require additional mechanical protection or anti-interference performance, using MC cable may increase costs unnecessarily. For example, in terms of engineering economics, if the installation and use environment of the cable is already safe enough and no additional armor layer is needed to protect the cable from external forces or its own gravity, then it is possible to choose not to use metal clad cables to reduce costs.

Impact hazard zone: Although MC cable can provide additional mechanical protection, MC wire is not necessary in certain specific areas, such as impact hazard zones. In these areas, strengthening the protection of MC cables may not be necessary, so it is possible to choose not to use metal clad cables.

Direct burial in non rock areas: Metal clad cables are particularly suitable for direct burial in rock areas because they can enhance tensile and compressive strength, and improve erosion resistance. But in non rock areas, the mechanical protective layer of MC cable may be excessive, so it can be considered not to use MC cable

MC cables are often laid underground because the armor layer of the cable is not white. When concealed in underground trenches, it is necessary to prevent situations such as sinking due to vehicle pressure, damage from mouse bites, and scratches from stones. At this time, MC cables are needed. However, there is no need to use MC wire indoors. Generally, laying ordinary wires and cables is sufficient. MC cables are generally not allowed on the ground. MC cables have an additional layer of protection compared to regular cables to prevent damage such as compression, pressure, scratches, and mouse bites. The cost of adding an extra layer of armor is definitely higher. It cannot be denied that MC cables are more expensive than ordinary cables, but when it comes to high efficiency, choosing MC cables is the right choice.

In summary, the use of MC cable should be determined based on specific usage environments and requirements to ensure both safety requirements and effective cost control.
