THWN-2 wires are suitable for dry environments with temperatures not exceeding 90 ℃, humid environments with temperatures not exceeding 75 ℃, or oil/coolant with temperatures not exceeding 75 ℃. It also has UL certification and is suitable for various installation methods such as indoor, outdoor, overhead, pipeline, cable tray, etc., including direct burial cable for circuits not exceeding 600V.
Although THWN-2 wires can be used as direct burial cable, for safety reasons, it is recommended to still use conduit protection during use. Directly embedding may increase the risk of fire, as once the circuit breaks or is damaged, it may trigger a home fire
